MAIN CHALLENGES FACED BY THE COMMUNITY: unemployment, poverty.

MAIN ACTIVITIES: Economic empowerment, youth education, paralegal support.

The Berlin Advice Office provides paralegal services, implements community development projects like a piggery, food gardening and human rights awareness campaigns. Funding received from the Department of Labour has helped the LDA conduct awareness workshops on labour related matters in their community. Their partnership with the Department of Public Works created employment opportunities for 120 community members through the Extended Public Works Project (EPWP).
